Frequently asked questions

What is Share With Shy?

Ryan Safann, a good friend of mine, once said that we get to live multiple lives through each other’s stories. On this blog I share my personal stories and on the podcast, guests share their business and personal stories to encourage and motivate you. Well, I decided to take it a step further and created a platform where you can share your personal struggles, fears, trials, tribulations etc that you have overcome. We learn from each other so your story can help another. Share With Shy is a platform where you can share your story on this website. It can be posted with your real name, anonymously, or with a pseudonym.

What kind of stories are you looking for, for submission?

Anything that’s inspiring and or motivational. If you once had self-image issues and have overcome it, that’s something to share. Have you been in a relationship that included domestic violence? Suffered from depression or anxiety and would like to share how you're working/worked through it? Have you been in a relationship and was deeply hurt by what happened and found a positive way to bounce back? Were you physically abused? Have you had trust issues? Were you a pessimistic person and now you see the benefits of being positive? The situations are countless. Send me an email at title the subject: "Share With Shy" and briefly tell me what’s the story you would like to share and I will let you know if it would be a good fit for submission.

I’m fearful of telling the entire story because of the parties involved.

Totally understandable. Know that their names don’t have to be mentioned. A synopsis of the story is just fine. If you need help conveying your story without mentioning names, I can help.

Is my submission confidential?

Your story is being shared on this website and on my social media so technically, no. However, if you would like your name to remain anonymous, then that will absolutely remain confidential. If you shared a part of your story not mentioned in the final publication and would not like it to be known, then that too will be confidential.

Do I have to list my real name?

No. Your real name is completely optional. It can be submitted with your real name, anonymously, or with a pseudonym.
